WORLD FOOD DAY

As the world celebrates World
Food Day today, almost 870
million people worldwide are
chronically undernourished,
according to the Food
Agricultural Organization.
The official event is being
commemorated in Webuye,
Bungoma County, under the
theme 'sustainable food systems
for food security and nutrition'.
The aim is to increase
understanding of problems and
solutions in the campaign to end
hunger.
