About twenty million US dollars are being invested
since 2012 in the implementation of the MOSAP project -
Oriented Family Agricultural Project in the provinces of Bié,
Huambo and Malanje, reported on Saturday the World Bank
representative in Angola, Aniceto Bila in Andulo
municipality.
In a press statement, Aniceto Bila stressed that the amount
allowed the consolidation of all activities initiated,
especially training of farmers, delivery of seeds, fertilizers,
agricultural production tools, as well as increased
investment in the agricultural sector.
According to the World Bank official, from the 62 expected
MOSAP projects, 56 have already been implemented.
Aniceto Bila explained that from the activities undertaken in
the three provinces (Bié, Huambo and Malanje), Bié is the
region that most benefited from the fund with 50 percent of
shares, especially in the cultivation of land, livestock and
among others.
The World Bank representative said that the implementation
of the project aims to contribute to MOSAP actions in
reducing hunger and poverty, providing household food
security and diversify the country's growth, through the
World Bank support.
