Angola will open soon a centre tasked with practical
application of medically assisted procreation.
This was announced Tuesday by general director of
Lucrecia Paim Maternity, Abreu Mpecamena.
Mpecamena announced this Tuesday in Luanda, stressing
that the infrastructure will operate in the health institution.
He said that technical and human conditions are being
created to achieve this goal.
Abreu Mpecamena was speaking at an opening ceremony of
the workshop on "Infertility and Medically Assisted
Procreation Techniques".
The general director said that action for implementation of
the centre should be adjusted to the law, essentially
seeking to regulate the use of techniques of procreation.
To this purpose, he defended the need to hold events to
raise awareness and allow discussion the topic on
Medically Assisted Procreation Techniques"
The treatment is intended to help materialise the desire of
infertile couples (procreate) to ensure promotion of
psychological, social and economic balance within the
Angolan families.
