Women trained on vegetable processing #gambia

A five-day training on fruits and vegetables processing and
preservation Friday got underway at the Gunjur Tarud Pre-

The training, organised by Gunjur Scouts and funded by

of Scouting in The Gambia and scouting has always been
contributing towards the development of the environment
and the country.
Scouting teaches people to become responsible in future, he
said, calling on the participants to take the training
seriously and make best use of the knowledge gained from
it.

train to develop skills and contribute towards nation
building. He also encouraged them to take scouting
seriously.
Councilor Bojang commended Gunjur Project for funding the
training, saying the training would equip the participants
with skills in fruits and vegetable processing and
preservation.
He stated that fruits and vegetables such as mangoes and
tomatoes have been spoiling, adding that training scouts
and Kajabang women on fruit and vegetable processing and
preservation would prevent spoilage of fruits and vegetable
during the season.
