At least 678, 489 heads of cattle were immunized from last
February up to the moment, against various diseases in a
campaign carried out by southern Huíla Province's
veterinary services.
In an interview to ANGOP in Lubango City, the head of Huíla
Veterinary Department, Miguel Barbosa, said that the
number is positive and corresponds to the 82,9 percent
expected, which is to vaccinate 900,000 heads of cattle.
According to the speaker, the animals were vaccinated
against contagious pleura-pneumonia, symptomatic
carbuncle and nodular dermatitis, in a campaign organized
in 14 municipalities of Huíla Province.
The vaccination campaign ends next October.
