The Presidents role in fighting hunger stressed #angola

The commitment of the Head of State, José Eduardo
dos Santos, to implementing the programme for fighting
against Hunger and Poverty was highlighted Friday in
central Bie province.
The recognition came from the director of Studies, Planning
and Statistics Office (GEPE) of Bie Government, Deolinda
Gonçalves, who was speaking on behalf of the provincial
governor.
Speaking at the inauguration of a six-classroom school, in
Cuito, the capital of the central province, the official said
that president's commitment and dedication is evident in
programme focused on fighting against hunger and poverty
in the communities.
According to her, the implementation of this project has
significantly improved the living conditions of populations
and allowed the socio-economic development in the region.
Deolinda Goncalves noted that the programme has so far
enabled the construction of new schools, health facilities,
rehabilitation of roads and bridges, drinking water and
electricity distribution and agricultural inputs in the
province.
