Nane Nane pencilled for Lindi #tanzania

THIS year's Nane Nane agri-business exhibition at national level is set to take place in Lindi Region, at Ngongo grounds between August 1 and 8. The statement issued by Senior information Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives, Mr Sankana Simkoko, wanted all agricultural stakeholders to start preparations for the exhibition. He pointed out that the exhibition among other things focuses at showing achievements that have been recorded in the sector, strategies to boost production and challenges facing farmers in the country. "Farmers who are the main stakeholders in these shows get an opportunity to learn various techniques to make them improve their capabilities in farming, livestock keeping, fishing and cooperatives," the statement said. Mr Simkoko noted that the exhibitions will also be conducted at various zones so as to make all farmers across the country benefit from it. At zonal level, the exhibitions will be held in Mbeya city at John Mwakangale ground in Uyole area, Themi grounds in Arusha, in Morogoro, at Nyamhongolo grounds in Mwanza and at Nzuguni grounds in Dodoma region. The statement further stated that besides farmers, the shows will also bring together entrepreneurs, various ministries, government institutions, private sectors and other service providers in the country. These agri-business shows which are conducted annually are organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives in collaboration with Tanzania Agricultural Society (TASO). "The slogan for this year's exhibition is 'Big Results Now, Agriculture is Business,' the statement said. The shows are expected to be graced by high government leaders in Lindi Region where it will be nationally held and in all zones.
